Oliver Huse
Oliver Huse is public health nutrition research fellow at the at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. As part of the SALIENT project, Oliver will be conducting process evaluations of food retail interventions aimed at supporting healthier eating and reducing the impact of food on the planet. Prior to this, Oliver’s PhD thesis, entitled ‘The Commercial Determinants of Unhealthy Diets in Asia’, took a mixed-methods approach to exploring the influence of unhealthy food and beverage corporations over food and nutrition environments and policies in East Asian lower-middle income countries. He has also worked as a consultant within UNICEF’s East Asia and Pacific regional Office, supporting country offices and governments in their efforts to introduce policies to address overweight and obesity.
